RIGLER ARBORETUM NATIVE FOREST WORK PARTY

SATURDAY, JUNE 13 9 A.M. TO NOON

All are welcome to join for as much/little as they are able.

 

It's time to do some cleanup, weeding and mulching in the Native Forest area at Rigler School Arboretum, just north of the Community Garden space. We'll have 35 cubic yards of wood chips available in the Teachers' Parking lot, a bunch of cardboard, and volunteers (could be you!) to provide some tender loving care to this part of the Arboretum.

Bring gloves and, if you have them, wheelbarrows, shovels, hoes and hand pruners/loppers. Snacks will be available.

 

The goals: a more accessible area, less weed competition for our native trees and shrubs and a chance to meet and talk with neighbors/friends of the Rigler School Arboretum.

 

It's also a great time to sit on one of the new benches in the Arboretum that many of you helped make happen.

 

Saturday June 13th 9 a.m. to noon. We will meet in the Teachers' Parking Lot.

 

Check out the developing website that neighbor Ben Parzybok has put together for the Arboretum. In time, you will be able to stand by a tree at Rigler and by using the website and your smart phone, you will know what the tree is. https://riglertrees.org/
